I hail from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan (The Friendly City and bootleggin' hideout of Al Capone) but I've been living here in beautiful rainy Vancouver since I started my undergrad at UBC. I'm excited and incredibly blessed to be here serving in this same community where I was first discipled and baptized! I'm stoked to journey with you as we experience and learn more about the awesome love of God here on this gorgeous campus. The pupper in the photo with me is my sweet Tenzi, the littlest lion of all. If you're lucky, you'll get to meet him when he visits campus!
UBC is an enormous place (with twice the population of my hometown)! As a student, I found it way too easy to get lost in the crowd and feel unseen or unheard, but it was in this community that I first experienced how healing a Christ-centered community could really be. We are made in the image of the creator and it is only in the presence of Christ that our dignity can be fully restored and recognized for what it is meant to be.
Everybody has a story to tell, and I would love to exchange life stories with you. Be it over coffee, a meal, or during a study break, I hope you reach out to connect! The living God is at work here on this campus and there's so much life to be shared.
