I hail from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan (The Friendly City and bootleggin' hideout of Al Capone) but I've been living here in Vancouver since I started my undergrad at UBC. After finishing my BA, I felt called to stay and minister to the students on this campus. I'm excited and incredibly blessed to be serving here in the same community where I was first discipled and baptized! I look forward to journeying with you as we experience and learn more about the awesome love of God.
UBC is an enormous place (with twice the population of my hometown), but I hope you find a home with us at UCM. As a student I found it easy to get lost in the crowd and feel unseen or unheard, but it was in this community that I first experienced how healing a Christ-centered community could really be. We are made in the image of the Creator and it is only in the presence of Christ that our dignity can be fully restored and recognized for what it is meant to be.
Everybody has a story to tell, and I would love to talk life stories with you. Be it over coffee, a meal, or during a study break, I hope you reach out to connect! The living God is at work here on this campus and there's so much life to be shared.
P.S. The doggo in the photo with me is little Tenzi, my sweet Tibetan spaniel rescue pup. If you're lucky, you'll get to meet him when he visits campus!
