Meet our SoCo, Alexa

HIII!! My name is Alexa, and this year I’m serving as the Social Coordinator!!! I’m currently in my third year of Materials Engineering at UBC.

One thing people usually learn about me pretty quickly is that I LOVE people. I genuinely enjoy spending time with others and getting to know people on a personal level. If you ever want to chat, pleaseee let me know, I would absolutely love to get to know you over a walk or a cup of coffee!!

A hobby of mine is swimming! I’ve been a lifeguard since I was 15, and I really enjoy looking after others in that way. Although I spend plenty of time at the pool, I would prefer to swim in a lake or the ocean.

I also love hiking. I’m originally from Airdrie, Alberta (a smaller city just outside of Calgary), and growing up so close to the Rockies meant my family spent lots of time exploring and hiking all kinds of mountains together. When I’m not being active, I also enjoy crocheting and coding!
