What’s up UCM!!
My name is Beatrice and I am this year’s social coordinator! I am studying English literature and visual arts, and some of my hobbies include: making things ( I love arts and crafts, I’m actually learning to crochet right now!), going for runs around Vancouver, dance partying to my favorite songs, and swimming in the ocean. I am also currently trying to fulfill my dreams of being a skater girl B) … I guess I kinda like to be mediocre at a whole lot of things rather than an expert in one particular area! Something that is really important to me is community and fellowship. The first time I remember experiencing true community was when I first went to camp as a kid. Being welcomed into a safe, inclusive and loving community is actually what first drew me to Jesus, and gain an understanding of his love for me. Similarly, UCM has been such a sweet community during my first two years of university, and has helped me find belonging, meet amazing friends and strengthen my relationship with Jesus. With that being said, I am so excited to be the social coordinator and have the opportunity to create a similar sense of belonging through events, hangouts – whatever it may be! I am sooo looking forward to being able to gather again, meet new friends, and reconnect with old ones this coming fall. Can’t wait to meet ya! |
