Hello there! Glad you found us!
My name is Diane and I’m one of the campus pastors here at UCM. I committed to following Jesus and got baptized in 2007 while I was an undergraduate student at UBC. During my third year, I stumbled upon UCM and met friends and mentors who deeply embodied the love of Christ. At the time, I was navigating the turbulent waters of university life and a rather complicated family life (feel free to ask me about this - I’d love to chat!). My new-found community’s unwavering support and deep care was the first to teach me about God’s deep love and care for His people. It was through UCM that I first experienced intentional discipleship, mentorship, and spiritual friendships. Through the community at UCM, my new faith was encouraged, strengthened, and challenged. A little bit about me: I was born in the Philippines and have lived in Manila, Montreal, Victoria, Vancouver, and Kansas City. I studied film and theatre as an undergrad and I'm currently completing my MA in Leadership, Theology, and Society at Regent College. Last year, I walked 830 kilometres across Spain on a pilgrimage because I wanted to go on a long walk with God. I love the beauty of creation, hiking, travelling, discovering and learning from new cultures, music and the arts, and spending quality time with friends and family. Most of all, I love Jesus and the beautiful journey of faith we embarked on years ago. He has proven so faithful through the years, and He truly is a Good Shepherd. I’m deeply grateful that He led me to be on staff at UCM and I find it an honour to work alongside our incredible staff team and student leadership team! I would love to hear more about you!
