Meet Jegan

Hello there!
My name is Jegan Ganesan, and I’m STOKED to be the Worship Coordinator for this coming year! I’m currently in my fourth year doing music with a double major in flute performance and music scholarship. A boring fact about me is, I’ve spent bout an equal amount of time in both Canada and Singapore which means I can appreciate both the mountains and the concrete jungles. Music might be what I’m studying at UBC, but I assure you, I am a nerd for Jesus. I absolutely love learning about Church history, the patristics, different traditions/denominations, worship music, etc. It will not be a surprise to find me at the Regent Bookstore sifting through the used books section! If you hang around me enough, you’ll come to know about my PASSION for coffee. I absolutely love going to different roasteries to try different types of beans! My favourite coffee shops include Nemesis, Revolver, Timbertrain and of course the ever faithful, JJ Bean. If you love coffee, please hit me up! I’d love to situate at a coffee shop to sit and sip a cup while we chat about worship, music, life, and Jesus! I’ve been part of UCM since my first year and it has blessed me with some of my most cherished memories. I hope that you will have the same experience too! AND.
