Meet Matthew, Our YerCo

Hey everyone!

My name is Matthew and I'm stoked to be serving UCM as this year's Prayer Coordinator! I'm looking forward to helping create spaces for deep encounter with God within the UCM community. I'm so excited for the joy that is to come getting to see people grow in intimacy with Jesus and for UCM to grow in unity in Christ! The rich community of believers at UCM has been an incredible blessing and strengthening to my faith in the last year so I'm super excited to give back by serving the community this year! Paul's prayer in Colossians 1:9-12 has shaped my prayer life and heart for UCM; that both students and staff would be filled with a complete knowledge of our Lord and truly be a city set on a hill at UBC! I'm excited to see all the places that God is at work on our campus and in our city.

Some things about me:
• I'm in my 4th year of Civil Engineering
• I love exploring God's creation! Being outside and active is a gift and Vancouver is a wonderful place to experience it
• I spend more time thinking about what I want to read then actually reading
• I love to bake and share with others. Even more so, I love eating what other people have made!​
