Meet our VP, Nadia

Hey everyone! 

My name is Nadia and I am stoked to be serving as this year's VP! I have grown up in downtown Vancouver all my life and am currently going into my third year of Visual arts at UBC. As of right now I am hoping to either pursue art teaching or Art therapy! 

​Looking towards the upcoming year, I’m excited to pour into a community that has done so much to support my walk with the Lord and spiritual growth. I am thrilled to see the ways in which God is going to work through this year's exec team and each of you to share the love of Christ on this campus! 

Things that bring me joy: 

  • line dancing! Even though I'm not the best dancer, I am always down to learn another version of cadillac ranch
  • Coffee! Some might call it addiction. I call it enjoyment with negative side effects if I don't drink it. (I can stop whenever I want) 
  • Traveling! I am always looking forward to planning my next adventure whether it be with family or friends (never alone though I’m too directionally challenged for that, I need someone to tell me where to go) If an opportunity to get on a plane ever comes up I am there. 
  • Doing anything and everything with someone! I just find that everything is more fun when you have a buddy, whether that's grocery shopping, driving somewhere or going on a walk

My vision for this year is to continue to foster a space focused on loving God and loving people. (Matthew 22:37-40) I am eager to support each of you to allow for your visions and dreams for the club to come alive. (If you have any ideas please feel free to reach out! I would love to grab a yummy drinky with you to hear your thoughts and listen to your story!) I believe that Christ has blessed us with the gift of community and sees the ways in which relationships allow us to grasp the vast love of our Lord and his graciousness. (Hebrews 10: 24-25) My prayer for this year is that UCM is a space that fosters faith, mission, leadership and loving friendship!
