Meet Nick
Kia ora!
That means hello in Kiwi Speak (Bonus points if you read it in an accent). I came to UBC from New Zealand in 2014 for a four-month exchange and pretty much never left. Before working with UCM I was a Highschool Science teacher and I found there is a certain joy in exploring the question "What does it mean to follow Jesus?" with students. Thus, in 2017 I started hanging out at UBC as a campus missionary. For the past few years, I have enjoyed discussing a range of topics such as faith, hope, dreams, doubts, friendships, romance, grace, inerrancy of scripture and the work of the Holy Spirit over a cup of coffee. If you're up for it, I would love to know what you believe and who you think Jesus is. Hit me up! Aside from hanging out with UCM, I spend my time hanging out with my lovely wife Caitlin, being a part-time student at Regent College, playing board games, bouldering, concocting kitchen delights, and as of late trying to learn a dance called West Coast Swing! Welcome to UBC! I'm looking forward to meeting you soon! |
