Meet Nick
Kia ora!
That means hello in Kiwi Speak (Bonus points if you read it in an accent). I came to UBC from New Zealand in 2014 for a four-month exchange and ended up leaving 14 months later. Vancouver (and my girlfriend, now wife, I met at UBC) kept a piece of my heart so I decided to come back more permanently in 2017. While I use to work as a Highschool Science teacher, I found there is a certain joy in exploring the question "What does it mean to follow Jesus?" with students. Thus, in 2017 I started hanging out at UBC as a campus missionary. For the past few years I have enjoyed discussing a range of topics such as faith, hope, dreams, doubts, friendships, romance, grace, inerrancy of scripture and the work of the Holy Spirit over a cup of coffee. If you're up for it I would love to know what you beleive and who you think Jesus is. Hit me up! When I'm not discussing such light topics, you can find me at in coffee shop, chilling at home with my wife Caitlin, making or baking something delicious or admiring nature somewhere in the Lower Mainland. Welcome to UBC! I'm looking forward to meeting you soon! |
