Meet our VP, Theon

Heyo!

I'm Theon and I'll be serving as your vice president! I'm super excited to see the ways that God will be moving at UCM and on campus this year, I think he has some great things planned for UBC!

A little about me. I'm going into my 4th year of biomedical engineering, hoping to graduate soon (fingers crossed). I moved to BC around 3 years ago after living in Kenya where I grew up.

Some things about me:
  • I really like pickles and snacks, if you bring me snacks we can be homies for life
  • I am always down to watch a football (soccer) game. Like ALWAYS. If you want to banter, play, or watch anything related to football I will be there
  • Black tea and coffee are a must, I think I can say that I own more tea than any other singular person at UCM
  • I'm a big fan of pets in all shapes and sizes, I have a German shepherd, her name is Sheba, she thinks birds hate her, she also thinks she can fly at said birds
  • Spontaneous adventures are some of my favourite things, anything random is great in my opinion
  • Mango is my favourite fruit, I got gifted two mangoes this year for my birthday and I just about cried with joy
I know great things are going to be happening at UCM this year. My vision is to welcome everyone (yes even you) into the amazing place of spiritual growth, friendship, and community that can be found here at UCM. I'm eager to see people step into leadership and even step out of their comfort zone a bit (yes I'm still talking to you!).

I know university is a place that can be lonely, challenging or even just a place where you feel lost. But it can also be a place for immense growth, fun, and excitement. I genuinely hope that UCM can be that fun place for you just like it was for me.
