Our Campus Home
Our house is named after the late Reverend Bernice Gerard, an inspiring woman and activist who was recognized as the most influential religious figure in B.C. in the 20th century.
The Gerard House functions as the home to some of our male leaders and a space where students are free to pursue Christ-centered community through worship, prayer, mutual encouragement, and accountability. You can find us hanging out here doing pretty much anything from cooking up gourmet meals to hosting 24 hour movie marathons and spontaneous worship nights. Drop in anytime! |

Who lives at the Gerard House?
The house is home to 7 male UBC students who are active in UCM. These young men engage in peer-to-peer discipleship, encouraging each other in faith and living together as iron sharpening iron. Our hope is to cultivate a space where residents can flourish in their walk with God. The Gerard House tenants are committed followers of Christ, eager to pursue Christ-centered community together.
The tenants also actively practice extending a welcoming hand through hospitality by inviting their friends and classmates into this home. The wider UCM community is always welcome to come spend time here throughout the day (10 AM - 10 PM), especially after our weekly Thursday Night Things.
Many of our UCM events are hosted at the house, including the annual Welcome BBQ, community dinners, movie nights, 24/7 prayer events, Summer UCM gatherings, and more.
