Meet Maya

Heyo! I’m Maya and I’m so excited to be serving as outreach coordinator this year! 

UCM has been a huge blessing to me over the years and I’m thrilled to serve and give back wholeheartedly to this incredible community. 

Here are some fun facts about me! 
  • I’m entering my fourth year, studying Global Resource systems, with a passion for development. 
  • I am proudly addicted to caffeine and LOVE coffee, so I’m always down to trying new cafes!
  • Lately I’ve enjoyed diving deeper into Christian/biblical theology (nerdy, I know) and relish chatting about uncommon questions surrounding the Bible. If you ever need a Christian podcast recommendation let me know! 
  • I competed in rhythmic gymnastics for 9 years. And have loved coaching the next generation of gymnasts. 
  • I’m obsessed with the show Amazing Race and definitely plan to participate and win it one year! 

As outreach coordinator, I get to help foster the deep sense of community UCM has and organize events to spread the love of Jesus to our campus, communities and city! 
As someone who dealt with deep social anxiety, sharing the gospel with others was something I avoided at all times, however Gods grace has taught me that sharing the gospel is something we should never be ashamed of. I just want to encourage you that no matter your giftings or personality he will equip you to spread his love in ways you could never imagine!
