Meet Xelian

Wassup,
I’m Xelian (pronounced like ‘zillion’) and I’m one of the staff blessed to care for this wonderful little part of God’s flock. My heart beats to create welcoming environments where those who are exploring their faith and those who are already committed Christ-followers can build meaningful relationships, find a sense of belonging, and experience the love of Christ in tangible ways. I want people to fall so deeply in love with falling in love with Jesus that this love only grows for their whole life, and that they can’t help but live for their friends, family and strangers to know it too! I’ve spent so much energy in this life trying to protect my soul only for it to die, I’ve spent so much time trying to find it only to lose it, but I have learned by God’s mercy that there is an able and willing defender for my soul, and I am found through losing my soul to Him, that in dying to myself for Jesus I am truly alive, that in being a servant of the One True King I am free. In this community at UCM, we are walking together deeper into this truth. Since 2022 I’ve been a part of the UCM community, joining as staff in 2023. I am a South African with a insatiable love for adventure and have a bachelors degree in Biology from Trinity Western University and am close to finishing my MA in Theological Studies with a concentration in the New Testament at Regent College. |
