Good ChatsImagine that you've never heard of Christianity. What would the church and our faith look like if all we had to base it on was the Bible? From fearing God and following Jesus to Communion and Prayer, we'll be covering the basics in this 7 part short film series. You don't need any prep or theological knowledge to fully engage with this!

Service Opportunities
In the spring of 2015, UCM took a team of students to El Tizate, Guatemala to serve alongside Global Shore Opportunities. In the past, we have also taken teams to Mexico, Thailand and the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver. Our community travels locally and internationally to provide support to existing organizations.
Global shore opportunities - 2015
"I wasn’t expecting to be sent on this trip, but it was so amazing to see the faith in Guatemala. During the school's morning devotions, we watched these kids shamelessly call out to their Father. It was incredible to watch them pray and bless each other and their teachers so freely. To watch them shower love over every person they met taught us the meaning of child-like faith.I had doubts about how God was using me on the trip. My friends were receiving visions and interpreting and acting on them, and I was questioning that ability in me. But after one of our VBS's in the outlying towns we had dinner with the pastor, who told us of his hard life as a pastor and a mechanic. As he talked I sensed God was speaking over me, and then as we prayed over him, Romans 5:3-5 came into my head. I asked our translator Paohla tell to him and his wife, and encouraged him to continue his ministry because God is working through him and his family. When I finished I felt such joy - I'm starting to understand how God can use each and every one of us!"
